I bought an apartment in Berlin this year. I make my living betting on horse races and desperately need ATR (415) and RUK (432). I spent a lot of $$$ on a 2M satellite dish and set-up so I could pick up reception for these channels on SKY+. Things were going fine for a few moths until yesterday when I lost reception of a lot of channels (ATR, BBC, ITV.....most importantly ATR)

A bit more info....There is a large crane about 100 m from the dish itself and it seems possibe that it could be obstructing the signal....but that crane has been in the same postition for 6 months.....Weather has been overcast and rainy lately, but it has often been that way without interuption of service.

Could it be that this time of year the reception would be too weak in Berlin? I thought maybe, but then thought that the satellite rotates with the earth so what would the seasons have to do ith it.

Any thoughts?.....greatly appreciated

Can you check if the dish was moved ever so slightly? Also check cables and connectors. Finally, the Sky plus box might have developed a fault in the power supply unit which affects reception. Do you have access to another box you can try on your setup?

The crane should not be a problem at this distance as it would need to be over 50 m high and straight in the line of sight between your dish and the satellite. As it has not moved for months, that can probably be ruled out.

Good luck.
